Totem Table

Our totem lamps, turned into a side table.

Eight handmade clay forms are stacked on a steel frame: a ridged drum, a smooth egg shape, a ribbed ring and a studded top. They alternate between a white glaze and our nude textured claypaste, so the surface changes as your eye travels up the stack.

It came out of a question we kept returning to — whether the language of the totems could carry more than just light.
